Using Property To Build Wealth
Property investing is still a very popular vehicle in wealth creation over the long term.
Do you realise that of all the property investors in Australia very few own more than one or two properties. And this is a good start, but unfortunately it is not going to make an investor rich or have the wealth that was the motivator for them to start investing in the first place.
In fact out of 200 property investors in Australia only one would have more than 5 investment properties.
Why is this so?
There are many reasons why:
1. the investor runs out of enthusiasm
2. the burning desire to Become Rich has evaporated
3. the first financial hurdle crushed them financially and emotionally
4. they bought the wrong property the first time around and became discouraged
5. it all seemed to fall into the ‘too hard’ basket
6. they weren’t prepared to do the ‘hard yards’ in the first
few years to get a good base behind them
True enough, property investing is not easy. Just as anything that makes money, your job, a business, etc., property investing does require commitment in the long term, an investment of your time and not least of all a determination to keep working at it to become more proficient, roll with the punches and keep building on the portfolio.
One might think that it is the rich and famous who own all the investment properties, and of course they do own a lot, but there are many lower income investors who have steadily worked away at building their property portfolios and have become very wealthy along the way.
Continuing education in property investing is very important so that all the current trends are understood and all the changes in the financial environment are noted.
